So I made my main site, forums and blog more secure by using SSL (you should see the green lock on top of the URL address).
I did it since starting this year Google and company will prefer sites that use that system. Unfortunately, for this reason (security) had to remove the possibility to use external avatars (even linked from other sites)

Wow, I didn't realize how much I used avatars to identify people, I can't remember who's who from user names alone.

Yes true Actually maybe the only issue was with hotlinked avatars. I might try to enable it and see if there's an option only for local avatars...

OK I tried to re-enable them. So far so good. I think the issue was really with hotlinked/external avatar images
