I can't remember now what it was, but for sure you weren't supposed to reach level 35!!!!!

It's been a while since I played SOTW, but I believe my party was in the early-to-mid 20s by the end of the game. True enough, I rotated the party frequently in order to make to sure everyone was around the same level. Still, with the ramping exp requirements at higher levels and finite quests and battles, I didn't think this was possible.

Ha wait! The guy admitted he used some cheat program to reach max level. Then of course the game broke

Well now I'm Curious, since this was my fave of WW's RPGs thus far: what is the max level one can achieve?

I don't know, I set the max level at 35 but I think you cannot go past 27. If you do tricks like using only 3-4 characters in most fights, then yes perhaps you can reach level 35 (but not like that guy since he had the whole party >35!).

I'm actually going to try breaching level 30 with one character when I have the time. Dunno if yayswords ever finished the game with his "fight everything that moves" and "rollback if you weren't attacked" -strategy. If he did, he'd probably know the maximum level achievable when playing with all characters.

Oh dear. Considering how my first play through ended and going through a one V one battle with her was I'd lose my mind against her.

Huh, so THAT was what the problem was.

Remember how a couple of years ago, I asked about the infinite guard massacre in act II? I recently started playing the game again with my old saves, and I finally leveled Althea to 35, then the game started hanging. Now get here to report the issue and see this.

Any possible fix?

I think I fixed this already back then, but has been... a little while What you mean exactly by "the game started hanging"? any crash/error? also make sure you're playing the latest version.

Which is the latest version? Last time I got the game was... back in 2015, I think?
