Hazel development thread

Post by jack1974 »

This is just an early WIP, there's no GUI yet:

As posted on twitter the cool thing is that since I used very high resolution assets, even if you have a 4k monitor/TV and you go fullscreen, the lines this time will remain very crisp since the characters are 3000px of height!
Not sure if this can cause some issues on low-end computers, but they should be REALLY old to cause problems, since 4k textures are rather common since several years :)

It's a pre-order, so yes there's nothing to install right now (even the button says "Pre-Order" and not Buy Now).
The beta should be out next month though, so there's not much left to wait :)

As I posted on twitter, the game is fully scripted, and this week I'll start replaying it to make sure everything is good while I wait for the last missing BG/CGs. If they're too late the beta could start anyway - I can put placeholders, though I'd really like to have all done if possible.

Below is the game theme song, which I think turned out nice:

I shared it on my Facebook which is my first post since 2017 I think not too sure since I almost never post. When my mum listened to it she closed her eyes and tried not to cry. This is an extremely haunting moving song I cant wait to be able to play it in dlc pack

Thanks, glad you liked it!
The game is not so sad though (well except some moments and the "dark alone ending") :)

Good news, Steam approved the base game without being in adult-category (there will be a free uncensor DLC as usual). I also got the last CGs, so only a few backgrounds missing.
I might wait or start the game beta maybe even next week (if the BGs can be done soon I'll wait, otherwise no point in doing it).
