And I think it's strange that all NPCs have only the given name on the text box, but the PC his/her full name.

They're "generic lines" like Roommates (but I think you didn't play that game either). I'll see if it's possible to tweak it though.
As for the name no problem I can change it (I didn't even notice myself until now!). Thanks

when talking to Tyrone (spelling?) about the guy offering money for cheating a test he's called "Peter Lawrence". I don't know how common the last name is, but it's either a striking coincidence or the PC should say "my cousin Peter Lawrence" or "Peter Lawrence, unrelated. Honest!" or some other way to explain the same name.

I think Lawrence is a common surname but just to be sure I'll change it to something else

As far as the surnames go... I found myself a bit confused on the whole situation, admittedly, but I think I worked it out.

Kaitlyn and Brandon have the surname Lawrence, which I assume comes from their biological father.
Mona goes by Kincaid, which I assume was her name before marriage. In the Victor route, the villain refers to the twins as Mr./Miss Kincaid, and they don't correct him, which is interesting in and of itself.
In one of the routes, darned if I recall which, Sabrina is referred to as Miss Trejo, which would imply that she and Joshua both have the surname Trejo.
