Thanks for the saves and feedback, I managed to fix all. The background/character not showing was my fault  Added a bug while trying to fix the "shadow character on battle screen background" which resulted in erasing all the current scene background/characters info from memory

Not sure if this is a bug or not, but is Vaeril's Dark Empathy supposed to cost 12 SP at all three levels?

This means at:
Novice -> Spend 12 SP, Lose 30 HP, Gain back 6 SP: Net effect -> -6 SP, -30 HP
Journeyman -> Spend 12 SP, Lose 30 HP, Gain back 12 SP: Net effect -> -30 HP, no change in SP
Expert -> Spend 12 SP, Lose 30 HP, Gain back 24 SP: Net effect -> +12 SP, - 30 HP

It seems weird to have a skill that only punishes you until Expert level. Now, if I could cast it on a teammate, so they regain SP, or if the cost started lower and went up with each level, I could see it being worth it.

Or am I misinterpreting the skill?

You're right, the cost was left from another game (SOTW) where you had more SP available! I'll tweak the cost and also SP gain like this:
Novice: cost 2, gain 2 x 3 turns = 4 SP gain for 30 HP
Journeyman: cost 3, gain 3 x 3 turns = 6 SP gain for 30 HP
Expert: cost 4, gain 4 x 3 turns = 8 SP gain for 30 HP

Yeah, those numbers make a lot more sense. I'll be honest, this is my first playthrough where I'm trying to make Vaeril a main party member, so I just plain hadn't noticed before now.

Hey Jack, when are you going to release the game on Steam? I mean we are at version 1.02 already.

Well we're at version 1.0.2 but there are a still bugs left. I am also waiting for the theme song that should be done next month. I think April/May will be also out on Steam almost surely! But you know that if you buy on itch.io you'll also get a free Steam key right? :)

In the description for Galan's "No Mercy" skill, it says "Hit enemy dealing critical damage. If enemy has under XX% HP and is not boss, instantly kill it." However, I find I can't even use the skill until the enemy hits that HP threshold (10/15/20%). Is it supposed to be an always available critical hit skill, as the description implies, or be a one-hit-kill skill that is only available when an enemy is weakened?

Hmm something is wrong  I'll check it tomorrow (now is late and I risk adding bugs instead of fixing them). Will let you know what I find but the behavior is not normal for sure!

Yes there was a condition that wouldn't let "kill-skills" like that one to be used if it was below the required threshold. WHY that restriction was in place, I have no clue! but I've removed it. I am waiting a bit more to update the last few bugs since are just minor things and in case you find more :) thanks!
