In their defense, steam was never really a place for pornography. And this recent change might actually help Visual Novels and give more attention to an actual decent VNs with actual stories once all fanservice crap is gone. As for VNs that have some nudity but also have a decent story, well they can always make a fixed version with nudity removed, and if game is good enough that it doesen't have to rely on nudity for sales, it will still sell.

I doubt this will happen anytime soon. Nowadays with a pure fanservice short game you make more than a VN/RPG like mine...

If Valve didn't push out unannounced updates and didn't flip flop on their stances like a fish out of water, you might have a point.

"Fanservice crap" will never be gone, it's too easy a way to make money.

In any case it's always a matter of demand/offer. As long as a lot of people buy those "fanservice craps" there will be more :)
For the record I have nothing against them and I could probably see myself as teenager buying those

Sort of. Looks like a bunch of games lost the "sexual content" tag even though they certainly still have some. Only 19 with that tag now.

Love Bites has it, HuniePop does not. Weird.

Well it depends if they count the user submitted tags, or developers. Maybe some developers "cheated" a bit, removing that tag, hoping to gain more visibility? I am not going to touch that and hopefully it's enabled by default on new Steam accounts...

Meanwhile at Google Play...

Bionic Heart is GONE from the store and I can't resubmit it. Of course it was a minor game. I'm starting to understand though why most other indies don't bother with mobile. If you thought Steam was bad/censoring, the mobile is MUCH worse :(

Also lol at Bionic Heart being sexually explicit and have nudity in it. The hottest thing is Tanya in panties, topless but holding/hiding her breasts. The main issue here is the psycho-puritanism of USA, because such an image here in Europe can't even be considered "nudity", you see 500 images like that daily in commercial ads...

Lol they accepted my appeal and said that if I remove this image:

then I can resubmit the game. Well I'll do it even if users on mobile will play a crippled game...
