Well in that case I think could be possible :)
I could always code it in a way like the good old Bioware games or Pillars Of Eternity, with the full first sentence listed below in the dialogue window, like in this example:

I think that would work. I'll make sure to keep it to fluid dialogue then.

It won't be that much of a chore actually. I personally dislike long winded monologues and roll my eyes every time there is one in a video game I play. If I'm reading narrative content or a codex entry or lore, long paragraphs are fine and even welcome most of the time. In conversations however, I want to be able to participate.
