Among Amazon society, the prevailing attitude of intercourse with men is just to continue the species ;)

As Miakoda said, they aren't doing it for recreation, intercourse for recreation or love is only between women in that society. They do it as more of a chore in order to reproduce, as men are basically just for making babies.

okaaay...i was confused by the word "recreation"
i assumed this was synonym for "re Production" (re Creation) (the word was actually procreation,so i mistaken it for recreation :o )
much confusing word wow

so that's why i wasn't getting it. :?

Ahh okay, I can totally see how that misunderstanding could be made if you saw it as Re-Creation instead. Well just for future reference, Recreational activities are often done for enjoyment, amusement, or pleasure and are considered to be "fun".

No worries, I'm sure we've all had this happen at one point in our lives :)

And, while I haven't played much of Saren's side, I would guess that he's saying that as a statement of what Amazon beliefs are, rather than as something he believes himself or necessarily endorses.

I think it's also worth noting that the "real man to change her mind" idea has had some pretty unpleasant associations and consequences.
