I decided to make this poll so I get a better idea of what people wants in my games regarding romance options :)

Of course I also have other data and I understand that many people who play/buy my games don't bother to vote. So it's not like this poll results will determine all my future decisions, but for sure will have some impact on them. Also I'm curious to see the results

I allow multiple votes, since for example you might like both GxB and GxG, or BxB, GxG, and so on.

Voted :).I agree that this would be very interesting to see :).
Kamach
Voted. I kind of prefer girls wherever possible, normally play a male character I identify with and pursue girls, though I often play female characters and go the GvG route.

And they say I am a misogynist... What do they know!
Franka
Voted, and I prefer yuri, but can live with the rest.

Happy new year, everyone.

Just voted for the 'Boy pursues Boy' romance content. I am quite happy that Winterwolves has the tendency to deliver romances for all audiences in several games - always nice to feel included. And I guess Kickstarter shows that there is a viable niche market for it, too. Just look at recent projects like 'Coming Out On Top'. ;)

Hrm, although my very favourite is GxB, I also enjoy GxG (especially if it's pure/cute), and BxG (again, pure and cute).

I haven't really tried any BxB, but there's a few games/upcoming projects I'm interested in that are that genre. (like Coming Out on Top, although I'll probably wait for the censored version. =,) ) And Roommates. I also plan to replay Loren later and see the Draco love.

Basically, as long as I find the characters fun/interesting, and the story is good, I'll enjoy any type of romance.
jack1974
Yeah, I myself play in the games as male for BxG or female for GxB / GxG

But of course I want to provide some BxB in the next games, independently how this poll turns out, just because seems fair to do that.
Sylrissa
My preference goes GxG/GxB then BxB, with BxG being the only option really that doesn't do anything for me.
Fearsome
What Sylrissa said, except all three tie dead even for me, then BxG as an "well, if I like the story/arts. Maybe."

A pure BxG game really isn't something I buy, play the demo of? Maybe, Play for free? Maybe.

*shrugs* My entire life has been playing male dominated games on consoles and computers, why would I seek it out in my indie games niche?

I agree with this so much.

I wonder how the poll results are going to turn out over the weeks and months, but I wouldn't be surprised if otome and yuri were the most popular.

I think right now reflects the fact that I have many yuri expansion/versions of my games. But still, I have many BxG games as well. No surprise there though, for RPGs there's much more interests from males, but for VNs or dating sims it seems that I was right when I posted months ago in my blog that males (in general of course) don't like to read and prefer other kind of games.

Anyway, is still early, will be interesting to see after 6 months or after 1000 votes :)

Jack isn't doing exploitation yuri, it's actually sweet storylines, real romantic scenarios.

It's not geared towards *men*'s fantasy, it's just the story of two characters, falling in love.

And that's why Jack's yuri is so incredible and on my top list of wants and needs.

It's in it's way, even MORE girl friendly and off standard than Yaoi, as I've never seen an English translated game that had that.

Thanks, I guess that having mostly female writers (at least for the published games) helps a lot
Fearsome
Yep, that helps but the writers you do have are also very GOOD writers. <3
jack1974
Yes, is obvious that are good! 8) but I meant for the writing perspective. Though I have to say that even the yuri scenes of Roommates I've read so far are very nice and similar to the ones you see in the other games as style.

I do feel that it helps a lot, I'm sure some guys out there might be able to pull it off, but for the most part men writing otome or yuri content just doesn't come out the same way.

Sadly most but not all yuri content I've seen available for sale from stores, has been made by men for men, so you really stand out from the crowd in that regard Jack.
Madance
I agree. Thank you Jack. Most of the games (Example:from bioware/EA) that have Yuri content have this issue, and as a lesbian, it really makes me dissapointed, but your games were both caring and very respectful to any girl who enjoyed or at least tried to play a Yuri path. So thank you again for being inclusive and to make such beautiful stories with such different characters.
jack1974
Thanks, but most of the merit is of the writers, I just give suggestions but they do the "magic" :)
MacMac
tbh, I can get into everything but otome games for some reason.
SimonStardust
Voted for BxB ;) Simply, because I LOVE it! If there's no other choice, then GxB will do as well. Sometimes I also play BxG, but GxG does nothing for me, sorry.
