Every time I try to download and install Spirited Heart- it tells me "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." I re-tried and no dice.

You need to check your connection, since the files are (obviously) correct on the server, but some people download them incomplete. I have several mirrors including some CDN (one is the same as Steam...). So really you need to try again and you'll get the game correctly.

Something weird actually happend, my version I have been using for over a year, I have done nothing to it mind you, The System Files suddenly went corrupt and I can no longer play my old saves, any clue what happened?

Not sure but that can happen unfortunately! Especially on macs I noticed is common (it happened to me, I used system/disk repair and then worked).
