Not sure if already reported:

Warrior vs thief does more damage from backrow compared to one step apart in front line. Was this on purpose?
jack1974
Ah no, is not on purpose  will fix on next update, for now uploaded 0.8.6b that fixes the stagger problem and adds the new Hunter IP skill replacement :)
Saira91
Hi! It's my first time posting here :) First, i'd like to say that i've played the beta and so far i'm loving it :) and, um, i don't know if this has been reported already but, when you enter the graveyard at night to accept the mission of the necromancer if, instead of touching the gravestone, you leave and come again you discover the location again, this keeps happening until you touch the gravestone and accept the mission.

Well, that was all, thank you ^^ and please forgive my grammar mistakes, i'm spanish and still learning english

I can't promise those were all :P but they seemed to repeat so I couldn't continue. Happens when I'm supposed to get the levelup screen to distribute his stuff I think.
FireSeraph
Would it be possible to add the ability to level up in the character screen instead of after the fight. Sometimes you'd be clicking too fast and you miss out on the levelling bit
jack1974
Saira91: yes that's normal since is a quest in several steps.

yayswords: damn I removed the specialization skill from Loren since wasn't used, but forgot I had used it in that screen! :( reuploading fixed version now...

FireSeraph: yes I think shouldn't be a problem, will need to try and see if there can be any side effects first :)
FireSeraph
If not, why not set it so that you can't leave the post-fight screen until you've leveled up your characters? That way, you're certain to notice that the level up happened.
yayswords
Did you really fix it? As far as I can tell the only progress here is I can press rollback without the game closing :P

Do I need to make a fresh game?
jack1974
Yes sorry, you need to start a fresh game for that :(
jack1974

Originally was like that, but since later there are attributes costing 2-3 attribute points, people might want to leave 1-2 attribute points unassigned, to use them in the next level up :)
yayswords
OMG I got all the way to recruiting Vaelis and now I have to start over????

Well actually I wanted the green light for starting over without fearing this would happen again... there's something I want to try with hunters! ;)

Stagger reduces magic value again?
jack1974

Stagger reduces magic value again?

I didn't touch stagger effects, I only tweaked how easy is to stagger an enemy, before was too hard :)
yayswords
Did you touch it sometime recently though? I'm pretty sure it didn't affect magic value at the start of the beta :)
jack1974
No, but could have happened during the last days bugfixes. The but I think makes more sense anyway, otherwise magic users would be advantaged
Taleweaver
Three things:

Vaelis warns you not to enter the region to the east of Ninim when you're too weak. However, you still automatically go to the region and have to fight the bandits for coming back. (Unless you Rollback before Vaelis warned you, which I'm not sure was intentional...)

Also, someone notes to the PC that "you're not a ranger like your father", even if the PC IS a ranger. Maybe it could be worded better as "you're not as skilled a ranger as your father is."

Thirdly, during character generation, if you choose Shea, make him a Ranger and get the "stuck cart" event, when you choose to be blessed so that your potential is unlocked, the text refers to Shea as a "she".
yayswords
I'm not sure about that. Magic damage seems really bad at causing stagger too. And if it doesn't reduce magic value they don't benefit from nuking a staggered target. Point being, if it doesn't reduce magic they are somewhat out of that system, both when it comes to benefits and drawbacks.

What I'm afraid of is a speed contest between back rows. If they stagger my druid before it can act it can't hit back hard enough. I would think it's pretty safe to say that if I can't kill a back row mob vs. ratmen or Mormont with my first wave of actions, I lose. We'll see :P

Maybe it could be worded better as "you're not as skilled a ranger as your father is."

Yes, where are your poisonous bites idiot? Learn to be a proper ranger! Come back with a fever or be disowned! :P
jack1974
OK will fix those problems (indeed giving a warning and then forcing to fight is a bit funny, same for the ranger thing lol).
yayswords
If you keep visiting the graveyard without touching the tombstone you get +1 location discovered each time :)

Invigorating Prayer doesn't let you cast spells if you can't afford the default cost. Case in point, with 20 mana and IP up I can't use Take Aim.
jack1974
I searched everywhere in the script but can't find the sentence where it says "you're not a ranger like your father"? :( if you can tell me where it is would appreciate it!

And yes, will fix the graveyard bug too :)
jack1974

Ah! the skill icons doesn't show up? I think will ask Anima :)
