I think the level 10 goal should remain easy since people could get an "early game over", and that could piss people off (even if they could always play in easy or VN Mode). Maybe I'll make it slightly more difficult now though.
A sort of deadline or countdown sounds good, I need to find a place to put it. In the game I displayed several message box popping up, reminding you of both deadlines, but it's easy to skip them while clicking.
Regarding prices it's probably that I increased the gold reward too much because my concern was to not leave players without money. In the adult age, if you notice when the customers come asking you for an item, that item is automatically removed from all shops (otherwise the text wouldn't make sense, the customer says "I've looked everywhere and can't find this!").
It's a system to avoid that "cheat", even if after a few days the shops restock so you could still manage to do it (but it's not easy as it is normally).
I could use this "trick" also for the other jobs, but I want to know more opinions first. This because maybe you're a good player but I need to take into account a sort of "average skills" of all players

I agree that the level 10 goal should be easy, but at the moment it's really harder to fail than to pass, so maybe an adjustment is needed.
Personally, I think in a crafting game, the best way to earn money should be to actually craft the hardest things you can make and sell them, instead of just doing tasks over and over. That's why I think you should lower the cost of pure ingredients (stuff like animal blood, iron ore, that kind of thing), raise the price of intermediate ingredients (stuff you can make, but that is also used as an ingredient in recipes, like ingots or planks) and seriously raise the price of final products like figurines or advanced potions.
That way, the game would be more about hunting for basic ingredients and recipes, then crafting advanced stuff. For instance, once you've gotten to tier 3 metalworking, the best way to get money would be to get the recipes for gold ingots and gold settings, buy gold ore, and then craft gold settings to sell them. And you could make even more money by also learning the jewelcrafting/enchanting recipes for tier 3 runes, then make the "final" gold-set rune product to sell.
Jobs would still be relevant as the best source of xp/reputation, but it would alleviate the problem of spamming the same jobs being the best way to advance.

I think right now the difference between Easy and Normal is too small, so in Easy should be almost impossible to fail, while in Normal it could I'll tweak it a bit.

That's a good idea. I'll play a bit with prices today and see what happens (and keep a copy of the old prices in case everything blows up! ). I made an openoffice spreadsheet with all the prices before coding them in games but indeed you wouldn't make much money for each piece (except at high levels) because I thought would be too easy, but while playing I had to raise the task money, so clearly something is a bit off

I don't know if this is a bug or not but when I unlocked Lynn's pin up image I unlocked Amber's and Vin's at the same time even though i haven't unlocked all otome and yuri CG's. Is this a bug?
jack1974Apr 12, 2017
Amber and Vin are unlocked by completing all the main plot (so not the romances). Which means Win/Fail in both Light/Dark alignments. So if you got them, its OK
Those endings are the "Fame & Fortune", "Master ALchemist","No Hope" and "Lydia the Savior" in the gallery. So if you look there they should be all unlocked, and it's OK.
jack1974Apr 12, 2017
Just made a short update today, mostly tweaks and minor changes. The biggest one probably is that now the alchemy test is more challenging (before was really IMPOSSIBLE to fail it!! ). Even now, it's quite easy, but I want it to be like that.
The other bigger change is that I adjusted the prices so you can get money while crafting. I didn't make excessive changes, mostly are in the order of +/- 10-20 gold (depending on the initial value).
But I did some testing and already at young age, you can refine pebbles and get some gold while you craft for experience.
For example you can buy Quartz Nugget for 22, make two Pebbles out of it, and then sell them for 17x2=34 (all assuming quality 100 of course) for 12 earning just for "one batch".
I played only up to the young age, so I suppose in adult age should have an even bigger effect

Soooo long time listener, first time caller here.
Long story short, I downloaded version 0.8.3 in trying to finally collect the dark ending for Lynn. Esp. thinking that the hint boxes might tell me what I'm doing wrong. However, the hint box is just blank, reading Hint. Photo of it in the spoiler (since, well, don't want to steal most of the screen). Is this what should be coming up? I'm going out on a limb to say that it's not.
"To get Lynn's Light and Dark endings, you need to seduce or get close to her. This is done by picking the 'right choices' during her adult scenes."
Of course I'll change it to work properly in the next update
I don't know if that's good enough as hint, or if I should explicitly say which choices to pick? though since VNs are about choices, I'm not sure...

What do you mean, "doing wrong"? To get the dark ending for Lynn, all you have to do is pick the choices that give dark points during the conversations with her, and maybe have a dark-aligned Amber toward the end (not sure about that last one). It should be really easy, provided you can make yourself pick the darker choices.

I've been doing that; for whatever reason I haven't been getting the achievement for it. And, as said above, there's a hint available, so I presume it's not as simple as the rest of the endings (where if you want the Dark/Light, but not plus, endings, you gotta not go full dark).
Yeah sorry the message should have been:

As I clearly don't know the explicit choices to choose, I can't say? All I know is that "seduce" or "get close" can either be referencing the last choice of her route or the overall route? If it's just the last choice, then I think there's a bug in getting the achievement (since I've done both as my last option on trying to get the dark ending path). If it's the overall route, then I'm not sure where to go? I haven't tried every combination ever, obviously, but (and maybe I'm just not that smart) I don't know how to get the ending.

Well I got the light+ and light endings for Lynn easily, but my character is too far light-side to try to get the dark ending. Did you make sure to pick the dark option in the ball scene at the end of the child age? The game does warn you it's an important choice so you might need to make the dark choice there to get the dark ending at the end.
jack1974Apr 12, 2017
OK maybe I'll change this if it's too hard, but in practice
you need to tell you love her in 8th scene, works both the light or dark choice, then when you dance pick the option "dance closer" or "kiss her". So not just the dark choices.

Ah! Finally got it.
I guess I never made that exact sequence of choice; I think the thing that got me was you having to choose
specifically the "I love you" choice. Since I often chose either the "I love you but" or "Kiss her" choices; since they (especially the kiss her option) read as if they convey the same message.
I get it within the context of the ending, but not knowing that ending made me not realize how the mandatory choice would be a necessary choice; especially since Lynn's Light and Dark endings are the only Yuri options that require specific choices versus just ending up in the right place on the scale. I haven't done the Otome ones yet, but since Lynn's Light and Dark were literally the last yuri ones I chose, I was initially confused why I wasn't getting the Dark ending achievement.
If that makes sense.

I am not sure if anyone reported those bugs yet so in case nobody did:
when you play in VN mode and get a choice "Should Amber menage to complete Lynn's path successfully " yes or no if you choose no you get this error:
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

Also in Ruby's light plus ending during a CG scene if you try to hide a text a whole screen just turns black, same happens if you open an event from achievements.
On a different note, yea Lynn's normal Dark/Light endings are pretty hard to get, I was trying different combinations of choices for a few hours and then I given up, only managed to get them because you said what choices we need to pick.
jack1974Apr 13, 2017
Ah yes the VN Mode bug is because you can't actually "fail" Lynn! (there's no recipe to craft for her).
Anyway, I think having those necessary choices it's probably too much, also because it would be the only path requiring that. So on next update I'll remove those choices, and make the Light/Dark ending dependent on the alignment only
jack1974Apr 13, 2017
Did the update and removed the need to pick the right choices for Lynn's Light/Dark endings since indeed was a bit too "obscure" and you couldn't know unless you read a walkthrough! (originally there was supposed to be a relationship bar like in the other games, but now doesn't make sense to keep it).
Атомный ТанкApr 14, 2017
A bit mad I can't just run off with the potion I had to make for Daniel.
Атомный ТанкApr 14, 2017
I was on the point where you warn Ruby or Don't Betray Bernard and went to look at the current status of relationships. I clicked on the window and it selected one of the options through the status screen and I couldn't back out of it or close the status screen. Text bubbles popped up over the status screen. Once I was past the event, it was impossible to get the status window to close and resume normal gameplay. Had to load an older save. Was easy to repeat, just had to use VN mode for like 2 minutes to get to the point.
Oh and if we get the "Light" Bernard ending, would it be possible to make it so we can resume the Ruby line? It seems like it would be a good segue from the Bernard Light ending to Ruby's line, considering what it entails.
Атомный ТанкApr 15, 2017
After "Disabling" the Otome, but keeping Poly and Yuri open, it won't allow the Poly to continue but the Otome line is running. Going to do a few VN Skip runs and see if anything changes.
Edit - I think it was because of a Pre-8.4 save. My bad. :/ Also, These Lynn references to "pink underwear"... Amber is wearing purple.
Edit Edit - Not sure how people are having a hard time getting endings, of course, they may not have experience with Japanese Sims and understand flags and such. But Lynn's "Light" Ending was... Well I'm not sure I didn't accidentally get the Dark Ending since the dark one seems more appropriate.
Атомный ТанкApr 15, 2017
After going through old saves, it seems they are mostly broken by later patches. How do I delete the save since they seems to survive me deleting main file folder deletions? Will save me some time digging for bugs
