good luck Jack ,

btw, the game looks wonderful especially the music.

will there be any bonus content version where we get the music?
jack1974
Yes all the tracks are original so you'll be able to get the full OST :) IF I manage to finish it!

Ok, I think I'll wait a couple of days with playing more of it, you're updating faster than I can keep up. ;) It's good of course, since they're critical updates.
jack1974
Yes I honestly hope he doesn't find more bugs though! :)

Hi, I played 0.8.7, Tanya offered Jason to kill someone for him, but Jason wasn't caught, after battle Tina vs. Rob was no scene to search for clues, Tom, Luke and Helen were executed on Mars by Sarah, Tanya talked with Lucas' brain.

Scenes 0, 2-12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22-24, 29, 30, 33, 34, 37, 38
jack1974
I suppose you won the Tina vs Rob scene right? Tina wasn't shot?
jack1974
OK I think I fixed it, and uploaded version 0.8.8 if you have a savegame at scene24, where Tanya sleep in Jason secret hideout, it should play correctly and show the scene where Tina search for clues!

p.s. sorry about all those bugs, usually for a simple VN there aren't so many

Yes, Tina won the fight. But shouldn't Jason be caught if he is neutral with Tanya? So he can't expose Luke?

Just made another walkthru, this time Tom and Helen are lovers, Luke slept with Sarah and agreed to her plan to release the virus on earth. Tanya offered Jason private time. Tanya took Jason's brain automatically (no choice wich brain to take) and Luke released the virus on Mars instead of earth. When Luke was back on earth, in the flat the text says:'If they only life the quarantine now.' it should be 'lift the quarantine now.' And when the robot enters, there is no text between Luke and the robot (but if I play the scene from the gallery, there is text).

Scenes 0, 2-12, 14,15,17,18,20-25, 27-31, 30 (yes, again 30), 35, 37-39

Yes right... I didn't understand what happened. Understanding the bug is hard if you don't explain it detailed, even with the scenes list I always make confusion.

Sorry, what is the bug in this case (apart the typo) ?
jack1974
Nevermind, I think I am wasting my time doing this. Will just cancel the game and rewrite it on my own! Will probably be able to make it in a month, and it won't have all those insane plot bugs like now, where you fix one, and 2 new appears out of nowhere. Sorry about this, I don't even want to read bug reports anymore about it, I'm too angry :(

Sorry this didn't turn out like you hoped/wanted it to.
jack1974
I'm sorry for people who preordered, but for sure will finish the game. Maybe I should have done it myself from the start... :) But when you waste two months trying to fix stuff and you're still at the same points, something is not right, and the only solution is scratch it and start new. I think I can "recover" lots of stuff though, like the boss battles that are still cool. The plot will be MUCH SIMPLER (in the structure, not the writing/story) for sure!

The double genocide caught me by total surprise and it seemed rather weird that Lucas inexplicably went from being horrified at Sarah's bioweapon and wanting to develop a vaccine, to using the bioweapon to wipe out every human being on Mars aside from Helen, Tom & himself. It also seemed odd that Tanya talked Jason into releasing the bioweapon on Earth too despite the fact that I picked all the nice, humane decisions for her and Jason even accused her of being too nice just before their assault on Nanotech. I ended the game feeling rather disconnected from the ending since both Lucas and Tanya seemed very out of character when they each released the weapon.

A thing I plan to change is exactly this, let you choose what to do in the end rather than the game chooses for you. I started looking at the scenes and perhaps I could do it rather quickly without much rewriting. I wonder why I haven't thought about this sooner?

I think if you can choose what to do at the end, it should be in a certain way limited by what you did before, otherwise it could be unbelievable. For example, in Jade Empire, you could choose the whole time to be selfish or caring, but still at the end you could change it with one decision. That was quite disappointing for me, nice guy all the time and at the end bad boy.
jack1974
Yes true, well maybe then just in line with what you did before in the game.
