No no the design is good I'm happy, just being nit-picking!
krisslanzaOct 22, 2012
The design is pretty good! And I understand about being nit-picky, I do that sometimes myself. Doesn't help that if I ever get art drawn of a character, I'm never able to pin down EXACT details... especially with things like runes or scars.

Ooo new people I have not heard of! I'm liking me some Lydia and the name is close to me too. Torza looks cool too.
I was wondering one thing though. Why have some characters had a make over and overs not? I love Chambara's new look but also loved the way she looked before too so just wondering??
jack1974Oct 22, 2012
Because some characters didn't had a sexy/covered version before, like Chambara (had only the covered version).
AleemaOct 22, 2012
Sweet holy jebus. Am I writing all of those? Excuse me as I pass out.
Oh god I want Loren 2 nooooooow. The waaiiiiit.
Also posted on my birthday, yay!
Happy Birthday!! (Mine is tomorrow, teehee.)
I have seen all the full-body art for all the WIPs and they all look fine. Selith does look a little weird in her icon pic, but at full quality, she's very pretty. (And if we want to talk about not feminine enough, please note that she has boobs. Lizards don't have boobs. She's just a supermodel with green skin and a tail.) A few characters look androgynous, but that's on purpose. I'm sure a lot of people thought Draco was a woman at first, but who is honestly angry about it, even now? There are plenty of characters all over the spectrum, so if it's not your taste, then it's someone else's and the game is for them, too.
About Lydia's see-through hair, which do you guys like better? Covered eye or see-through hair?
Karen also had see-through hair, but I don't recall it being too much of a problem. If her hair weren't see-through, then we would have never see her left eye. But we don't see Selith's right eye, either. It's not consistent right now. Personally, I like the eyes covered up.
jack1974Oct 22, 2012
Happy birthday to you then (in advance).
About Lydia I really like the version you sent me. We can ask people's opinion, but I really think is much better
Might redo a new Karen version for the sequel too, need to think

Happy birthday krisslanza, and happy advanced birthday Aleema. ^_^v
And I like the covered version.
(And wow 16 romances... Aleema is gonna be busy, and I thought Spirited Heart 2 had a lot of choices... XD )
krisslanzaOct 22, 2012
The eye thing is iffy for me. Sometimes it looks nice, but other times...
On one hand, neither character with covered eyes have noteworthy eyes. Which is to say, it's not like their hair is covering a different colored eye or something. But... I'm not really sure which I like more
And a birthday tomorrow hm? Hmmmm. Perhaps I can write something. But then again, all I've been writing is entirely silly things.
Which is to say I've been writing Loren characters playing strip poker...
SylrissaOct 22, 2012
Mine was back on the 13th, so happy birthday krisslanza, and happy birthday Aleema.
Wow that's quite the variety of romances (even if some are only available in part 2) giving something for everyone, hope Aleema doesn't have a meltdown from so much writing!.
As for the see-through hair, I personally prefer not having see-through hair, and having the eye covered if you're going to have the hair over like that.
AleemaOct 22, 2012
Thanks, y'all. :3 krisslanza, that story sounds hilarious.
I should explain why there appears to be so many romances. I'm thinking that previous game relationships will not be as elaborate as the new characters' relationships. This will help me considerably - and will help the game actually get done, which is very important. Since they're not falling in love per se, there doesn't need to be as much content, I don't think. For Planet Stronghold 2, all the established romances aren't going to be in perfect bliss and will need to overcome obstacles to be truly happy again ... I don't particularly want the same to happen for Loren romances. There should definitely be some obstacles and things left to learn, but I don't want to force each romance to start from scratch really. So I'd rather write a couple romantic scenes between the lovers than force drama on them all and give myself a ton of work.
So while all romances will be getting a CG and due attention, right now I'm not holding the same "weight" for past relationships as I am for the new ones. So I don't really see it as writing 16 romances, if that makes sense.
krisslanzaOct 22, 2012
I think I see what you mean. As only a few of the romances (i.e. for me Jul and Selith) are actually "new". The rest would be carry overs, where they've already been "romanced". So rather then it being about starting a relationship, it'll be about maintaining one. Which is pretty different, and something I've never actually written myself...
I can totally write you one Aleema. Although, I confess, I'm really only good at writing girls usually...

That makes sense. (I think they went through a lot of hurdles in the first game already ^^; )
Plus I've seen or played too many movies/shows/games where the relationship seems to hit a 'reset' button or goes back to ambiguous. It would be nice to see a stronger bond between lovers. I think it would be rather sweet to see the main character being supported by his/her significant other - and vice versa - during the events of the sequel.
(So picking Rei first. <3 )
jack1974Oct 23, 2012
Yes indeed, doing 16 full romances would really take too much and would make no sense that they suddenly are "reset" and they start from zero again... "oh hi what's your name? Rei?" and so on
Those who want to see the romance of the previous characters can play the first game after all, the focus in the writing should be about the new ones
SylrissaOct 23, 2012
That does make sense, and being able to see a continuation of the previous characters relationship, is something that's not seen often enough, where the conclusion is them getting together and generally ends there. So even with the writing having most of the focus on the new characters blossoming romances, it'll still be good to see what happens after the 'happily ever after' so to speak for our returning hero or heroine.
MarSelOct 23, 2012
I like the covered eye myself, it looks strange to me having her eye popping through the hair.
Happy Birthday Aleema and belated Birthdays to Krisslanza and Sylrissa
I think it's a great idea to see growing bonds from the previous lovers.... All together Awwww
Ok so out of the new characters we have :
Nook = Shaman, human?? Tribal??
Selith = Half Lizard/elf, class warrior?
Samaras = ???? Mage?
Odurat = Elf? Demon? Dark elf? Class?
Lydia = Elf, cool Class Mage/Healer?
Torza = Amazon? Human?
Son of Loren and Saren from an altenate future???? Cool??
jack1974Oct 23, 2012
Will answer only some of those...
Selith= Thief, but she kicks-asses (will have some unique skills)
Nook=yes kind of shaman. He'll be a good healer
Samaras=Warrior... sort of human
Odurat=if you could see his smile/laugh face, you'd understand his race immediately! He's a healer too, but a sort of hybrid healer/fighter
Lydia=Healer again!
Torza=human paladin. When I'll post his fullbody image (sexy version) with naked chest I think people will like it
NightsnowOct 23, 2012
I can't see Elenors side of the chart, is that on purpose?
Never mind, just quoted it and stole the picture link.
jack1974Oct 23, 2012
The image is quite large, I didn't want to shrink it too much so depending on your screen size it might be cut indeed!
biscuitOct 23, 2012
Looks interesting. I understand why the new romances would get more writing, but I still really want some 'maintenance' or just lovey scenes, or where your SO supports your decisions if things go pie-shaped in, say, negotiations...
...though admittedly, Chambara trying to help you during a tense diplomatic scene might not work very well. O_o;;
I like seeing the WIPs though.
jack1974Oct 23, 2012
Aleema and I haven't talked about this yet but I'm pretty sure there will be plenty of short sentences (like in the first game) that changes based on your current romance. What Aleema meant is that she's not going to write again the full "fall in love" thing, but there will still be scenes like those you describe.
About Chambara, heh maybe some characters will change attitudes in the sequel. Mesphit will change quite a bit for example...
