YOU WISH THEY COULD BE ROMANCED EH!??!? NO! NO! NO!
...beside, there are obvious anatomic differences so that making love with them would be a bit difficult. Unless you were talking only about platonic love...
Oh come on! Nothing can stop love! /shotforbeingcheesy 'Sides, it's just be like Mass Effect - Garrus romance, and I can't tell you how much turian/krogan/salarian/etc love has been spread throughout the net and is still spreading Expansion-pack romance where they switch sides please
Actually ... a human male can have a relation with a snake (python) ... some people do strange stuff , so go naga romance! pretty please...

I think the winterwolves crew should design a new datin game, where you can date every npc in the announced and sold games I bet this would be a river of gold for the crew xD
@ Chamby Shape shifting and magic: Was unexplained in the game But I do not know if pregnancy of Loren has to be that important in the games Who know's what the future sequels will bring?
Gogo winterwolves, wanna play this. You get a nice slab of meat if you finish sooner than later :-D (and otherwhise you make many fans cry, you don't want that, do you? Chamby will get angry if she does not get new screen time soon and her curses are powerfull )

If they could make a game like Days of Memories, I would be so happy. Canonically, wouldn't work for anything, but who cares, dating sim!

Okay, now that I've played the first one through a few times and gotten most of the endings, I guess here are a few "hopes" for #2.
-Is there going to be a question at the beginning to say if you left the Vampires alive or not? Not really for romance purposes as the vamps are a happy couple, but if you leave them alive, the vamps do give their back story and call you a friend. It just seems like a good possible option for telling the whole "demons aren't really that evil" kind of thing you've been hinting at.
-You've already stated there is potentially the ability to gain skills based on gear. Does that mean side quests that could gain certain characters more skills? (whether it be by a "use only by..." item or whatever) Games like this always have a "strongest/best team combo", but it's a nice bonus to be able to gain extra skills so you can still function with the characters you like even if they aren't the best suited for the situation.
-(continuing from the last point) The only really semi-hidden quests in Loren 1 were the personal quests. Everything else you would sooner or later stumble across as you traveled. I'm not talking anything affecting the story (way too much writing), but a random mini thing here and there to score an item or just gain a bit more gold (to save cheating or grinding for it) would be cool. Stuff like "if you go to this location exactly in between these 2 story points/flags (with no hints or promts saying you should) you can stop a bandit raid or something. (stuff you can do without needing new artwork or unique programming)
-the one below, I hope you don't answer here...just food for thought:
-considering the end of the 1st game has the main character being given freedom and actual respect, will the 2nd continue that storyline? If you are still supposed to be "not the hero 'cuz Loren is", will there be some sort of plot device that shames or places the main character's reputation in doubt so that people will ignore him/her again? Considering in the 1st game, to any witnesses, you come off as a tactical advisor Loren is always turning to and "2nd in command" of a world shaping war campaign. It would be difficult to keep that whole "it's not about them" thing if they're still riding that kind of fame. It also gives a reason for why several characters may have distanced themselves and why you have to go and hunt them all down again.
Anywho, there's my 2 cents.

Honestly I'm not sure what you're getting at. But let me try answering anyway. Equipment with special skills will probably be the exception, just for the real powerful stuff. While it's far too early to give anything definite we are trying to give a bit more leeway to shape the characters. Everything's still up for grabs though, we're just brainstorming at the moment.
As for your spoiler; Jack has already announced that Sare/Elenor get promoted to protagonist.

Sorry about the vague wording of the gear related question.
Earlier on (I don't remember where), it had been said the game engine/system already had the ability to have gear that grants unique skills. It just wasn't used.
So, with that in mind, I was asking if it was going to be used....whether as gear anyone could use or as gear usable only be a specific person. Something that can change the existing balance of a character.
An example being: A wizard rod that grants an x# turn "defense up" skill on themselves so a wizard has the possibility of temporarily not being made of glass (without forcing a 2nd buff character to be in the party).
Or: A situation where Amukiki can choose to acquire a ring (that only he can use) that either raises elemental resistance OR increases his speed. (an item that doesn't contribute to his obvious damage, physical defense or hp bonuses he would get anyway)
I know people can already choose to stat a character in any way they choose. Give a wizard nothing but strength just so they have a billion hp and can break their staff off in some poor enemy's nether-region. But 99% of players just aren't going to do it. So, a bit of gear here and there tempt people to try pointing their characters in new directions gives replay value to the game.
The "for this character only" gear in Loren 1 didn't really change much for each character. It just made them better at what they already did. Which is pretty much just a short cut for grinding a few more levels. I was just curious, as there's been talk already of "increased customization", if gear-related methods where being considered.

Is possible, but the problem is that very likely the engine will be quite different when Loren sequel comes out, so is hard to answer right now Already in another game I'm working now (Seasons Of The Wolf, which should be out this year) there are several differences, like more stats and slightly different battle gameplay (the base engine is the same in this case, but was heavily modified).

From what i glanced at a couple pages back in this discussion, there seems to be an "outfit one" and "outfit two" looks pretty neat so far, so id hazard a guess that the "warrior outfit" posted in this page will have different options and or a different chosable outfit. Pic im using as a reference is this one :
that's just one possibility. Of course I'm not going to post all the possible variations

From what Jack said before, that warrior outfit is the sexy version. Personally though, I think Elenor looks a lot hotter in the new armor. Her original uncensored costume just looks ridiculous to me. Very little sex appeal and lots of "OH GOD SHE HAS NO NIPPLES."
LegendzeroxFeb 13, 2014
It doesn't have to be like her outfit from the first one. I like the armored look too, but a little more skin wouldn't hurt. One thing I will stress is that I hope there is an option to toggle off the helmet. I also would love to see a little more skinship like in the ChambaraXElenore/Chambara/Saren romances. Just a little bit, cause too much would turn it into soft hentai and would take the awesome outta Loren.

According to Jack's first post in this thread, the helmets will all be toggle-able. I'm definitely with you on that one.

any idea when the game will be released ?
megaman12321Feb 16, 2014
You know how hard it is to make armor actually sexy and even remotely practical? It's somewhat possible on leather armor, but on metal? Nope. The fact that Saren and Elenor are wearing warrior outfits that are both (although Saren is debatable with the chest plate gone) is a feat in itself. It's amazing no one had to make chainmail underwear or something

Not sooner than next year, but not sure yet when exactly!

So is Karen going to be a party member in this one, or is she going to be unavailable like Loren this time around? I'd hate to split her and Elenor up. It's bad enough I almost had to at the end of the last one.
