Not all the ones above though: in particular the last 5 (Mira, Rigel, Lucius, Kaden, Lola) don't take part into missions and don't have cards. But you can still talk to them of course.

I like the look of that screen.

at specific plot points, new cards are unlocked, and showed like in the screenshot above. You can right-click to zoom them.
With that screen, everything except the side-missions is ready for the weekend. I'll see what I can do tomorrow, has been a marathon so far

OUTPOST NINJAS WILL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!
The card upgrade screen looks great. It changes the gameplay quite a lot though, so I'll need to make sure to not overpower the cards. For example, I'll reduce the silver to only +1 HP now...

So are you forced to choose a target? Like if you're the only one with units on the board are you -2ing one of your units? (Can you -2 a wall and give it negative damage?)
jack1974
Nov 08, 2015
No, you can play the card without choosing any target if you want . The only case would be if there's no valid unit, indeed doesn't work on walls, I need to add it to description. And you can't give any unit negative damage of course

one of the many changes I've done this week so far, the resources icons will be displayed in the combat, so will be easier to associate it with cards costs

attack animations added

I'm not going to go nuts with the others, I'll wait until I've finished coding all the content first. I'll add them as last thing, together with the base tutorial!

Curious, in the tutorials we got cards that were otherwise completely absent from our decks, is that more like a preview of what to come or do certain combinations of characters during the main story line add cards?
jack1974
Nov 12, 2015
Yes since I wanted to show in the first battle all the various mechanics: invisibility, charge, offensive actions, etc. But I made already big changes to the cards for next update anyway

can't wait! Intrested in attack annimations, it helps because it can feel like a long list when you and them are attacking and can be confusing which character is doing it.
jack1974

Yes absolutely, now it's already much more clear what is happening vs before. It will still be a bit confusing for the abilities since I don't have those animations yet, but for basic attack, sure

added a very basic, step by step tutorial, explaining some key concepts like Walls, invisible units, charge, double attack and force shield. Hopefully with this, everyone will be able to enjoy the card game

I also tested up to the 3rd mission again, and seems good so far. Tomorrow I plan to finally begin adding and testing the missions from 5 to 10. Unsure if I'll make the new version in time for this weekend though

It's ok with me, I'm working this weekend.

One thing I'm unsure is if to go on with the fixed decks until end of tutorial, or simply allow the deck builder but restrict the available hero to the one who accompany you in the mission (in the first 9, each of the other team members goes with you in a specific order).

I like the fixed decks, suits your story and tutorials in general. But maybe a brief something on how to build decks?
jack1974
Nov 13, 2015
That will be in the side missions and at the end of tutorials (I also have added a big tutorial on the first mission this time).

That's a lot of text! Can you cut it down to half of that?
Units covered in fog are invisible and cannot be targeted by attacks or abilities. Fortunately, we have a scout that can reveal it. Select the scout, then click on the empty space to the right of the Roboant.
(I'm not actually sure if the "empty space" part is right since it doesn't match the picture.
jack1974
Nov 13, 2015
Yes I need to get the tutorial texts checked by writer, or by testers

The space is on the right of roboant but the arrow point to the invisible unit (I can even add another next to roboant if necessary).

Is it at all possible to put the empty space to the right of the invisible unit? I think that would be simplest for a tutorial. If not, a red arrow or a box indicating what to target would be fine.
