There are some enticing concepts on the Loren 2 forum, making me envision a game that tests my skill without testing my patience. But there are three things I need to know with regards to SotW before you can hope to win me back.



1) What were the consequences of stealing pelts??? Did it cost you a mighty artifact in act 4?

2) What was the biggest facepalm bug Jack caused in act 4?

3) Why hasn't fabulaparva beaten my post count yet?

2. Act 4 was short enough, I don't know if there were too many bugs. He kept breaking save games and occasionally there'd be a nasty crash when he was renaming the ending backgrounds or something. I think we went through seven versions in one day at one point.



3. Hunters are all about setup and combos, not spamming posts trying to race for the highest count. You can count on her to surprise, when it matters.

Yeah act4 was bugfree enough, there were only some mad bugs with Chalassa ending fight and not much else (luckily!).

Did you add fixed items to act 3? I might just touch the game again if you did.

Okay, but why did you break enter key holding to skip dialogue? And what is this little cheat menu that appears when I press O?

You can skip dialogue with CTRL (standard Ren'Py stuff), I wasn't even aware that you could do it with enter key.

The O is a menu that added at one point so people would try different options, but is not "official". I just thought to leave it there in case anyone wanted to experiment with it.

By skipping dialogue I mean fast forwarding through it. CTRL does nothing :D but pressing enter jumps to the next textbox. It's just I used to be able to hold it to blaze through conversations I've seen before. Now I'm making my fingers dance spamming enter and spacebar.

From Ren'Py official documentation: SKIP (already seen dialogues) is toggled by pressing CTRL or TAB. Enter (like spacebar) just advances the dialogues, independently if it's seen or not. I haven't changed how Ren'Py works since 2008 for sure!

By seen before I meant in a different playthrough, thus uninteresting. Anyway skip, advance blah blah the point is I could hold enter and it would repeatedly advance (using your word now) dialogues until they were done. That worked when I stopped playing. It doesn't now

Well as said I didn't touch that code, it's built-in in Ren'Py so I can't do anything about that, sorry.

You must be the only person skipping the dialogue to get to the battles.

If I could skip (as automatic victor) every moronic trash pack that I will subdue and regen dance my way to nigh pristine condition before delivering the killing blow to, I wouldn't have stopped playing. At any rate, not at all interested in seeing the act one dialogue a fortieth time. Or I guess tenth if you only count the times I've actually read it (for plot or nitpicking), but it's still old.

Hello I 've finished my first playthrough, before doing the DLC I want to do the romances. So to play faster, apart from skipping text, can we avoid fighting? Is there a cheat mode?

There's a VN Mode, but you need to download the version I posted in the forums

I play on steam so should I replace my copy by your version, to get the achievments on steam ?



I start from the first bathhouse at the end of Season 2 for Althea romances, for Shea from the start.

To include it? Cool cos to switch between "VN dev version?" and Steam version to get romance achievments is not the best, I did it for achievments left to do on "Loren the Amazon princess"

I just added it now - you need to right click on the game name in the library list, and under the "BETAS" tab, select the branch "-beta". The game will update to the version with VN Mode enabled and you should be able to play the game like that

Quests and locations are discovered, cool it makes me get lavastorm. Do characters level up? It's practical to get some achievments we would have missed at a normal playthrough but it might distort the stats.
