If you are going to have a playable pet/animal companion of sorts, he/she would need to be able to wear equipment or have stat/bonuses that would scale properly. In Loren, Trouble had a decent amount of stat points to distribute, which makes him potentially strong at the beginning, but falls behind when more advanced weapons and armor become accessible.

Not on this game for sure, but will keep it in mind for future games. Could be fun to have some pet-specific items

latest few days were crazy with other things constantly distracting me from work
Anyway, today resumed coding the dwarf recruitment mission. Let's say that it didn't start really well...

The sprite image is wrong since in that scene they're being held prisoner, so obviously they cannot have any weapon. I've asked another artist to change the image so there's a version of Galan/Dasyra without their weapons but for now I just use the standard one I have

the images above are in practice the "recruitment interviews" of Galan and Dasyra. I like how they see things from a different perspective
With this I finished the dwarf recruiment storyline, and I can start doing another...

She says a healer can be handy w/ the undead--there a specific reason for that?
Can her healing magic actually deal damage to the undead, like in some of the Final Fantasy games? That'd be a cool thing to see!

No she just mentions the undead because that's what the player is mainly fighting, but not other special reason
