Re: development thread
and in the afternoon I coded this instead
I have decided that this will be a mix between QoT and SOTW regarding recovering from battles: you will pick 6 members that accompany you in each "mission" (whenever you leave your HQ) and then you can pick up to 4 members for each battle. The ones not picked will automatically recover 100%, while those who fight won't get fully healed. Should be interesting, adding a bit of strategy and maybe force people to rotate the team a bit instead of always using the same party.

"...while those who fight won't get any particular bonus"
I'm afraid I don't understand the way that's worded: No one gains XP or items or anything? (I ask in complete sincerity; I'm confused...)

Re: development thread
Now enemies are smart enough to know when it's time to... RUN!
(This also solves the problem when there's only one single enemy maybe with high defense value, and you have no more SP to spend, so you know you'll eventually win after 10 turns of melee attacks. This won't happen again!)

Re: development thread
Today sent the "alpha demo" to the writer. I want to wait a bit to post it here since I should get the character's portrait this weekend, and also I'm missing some talents icons (right now several talents reuse the same icons which is OK for me to test but quite confusing for players).
Anyways, meanwhile I'll go on and start coding the main story!

Re: development thread
today heat was nuts, but now seems slightly better. There should be some rain in the next days!
Anyway managed to code the quickstart tutorial (all in a single screen). I'll probably need to do a longer tutorial (optional) explaining a bit the new stuff of this game.
Also, I added zombie enemies (the first real fight of the game story).

Re: development thread
I also got all the social talents icons. I like the Bluff one in particular (also because of the effect ).
Now hoping artist can do the portraits so I could do an alpha demo for this weekend!
(heat permitting of course)
