Re: fixed items
a more stupid topic for the dagger could be along the idea that a Broken Heart is based on a Bleeding Heart.

@yayswords
So I shamelessly took your suggestion for the Will o wisp and there's now this draft in the spoiler:
Just a tad pompous... but at least I left out the part of him being the horror of all nymphs...
"You cut me open and I keep bleeding, keep bleeding love." +10 in Failed Romance
Maybe the dagger needs a new name..
Which reminds me... right now the twin swords are tagged for "ranger" and daggers for "hunter". I was under the assumption that the twin swords were going to be available for both the ranger and the hunter. I assume that the daggers are supposed to be the substitute for the hunter instead of the ranger's two swords, to avoid hacks like the one talked about regarding Slith for Chalassa/Hunter-only?

Yeaaaah, and now I can't shake this off of my head everytime I see that name:renke_ wrote:a more stupid topic for the dagger could be along the idea that a Broken Heart is based on a Bleeding Heart.

Re: fixed items
Yes, each Class should get unique reward, so the Thief/Hunter shouldn't get the same twin sword. Originally the writer just made an item for each Class based on my indications (Hunter had a Bow only), then when got to code this thought to offer a bit of more variety.fabulaparva wrote:I assume that the daggers are supposed to be the substitute for the hunter instead of the ranger's two swords, to avoid hacks like the one talked about regarding Slith for Chalassa/Hunter-only?
Hunter is the only one with two weapons as reward (Ranger has shield), but I think is fine since is the most offensive/damage dealer of the party

Ah, good that you pointed that out. I need to change the twinSword desc suggestion, then. I played with the idea that the swords were twins... I guess I could use that desc for the daggers....jack1974 wrote:Hunter is the only one with two weapons as reward (Ranger has shield), but I think is fine since is the most offensive/damage dealer of the party

Re: fixed items
The sword for the rangers are twins should be two identical swords for the "dual wield ranger". But is not like you can get two twin swords, one to the ranger and another to the hunter. I think would be confusing.

Re: fixed items
Greek tragedy? Would you prefer Medea (stabbing own sons), Oedipus (yeah, we all know about that one...) or just simply Orpheus and Eurydice (be damned, English spelling of classical names!) ? And all of it in a just few sentences? We are indeed making such small additions to such a small game!

I managed to amass 20k at the end of act 2. I also managed to spend it all, without buying any Euphorias. No casino. Feels like good design, although I'm starting act 3 broke now, but I figure I won't be missing the gold unless we add predefined items there too.
Oh wow, already a mistake spotted. I didn't realize thieves could wear cloth
