Haha yes, the graphic bug is a consequence of that scene triggering when it shouldn't :)

Reporting another weird bug. I was testing out all the dialogue options at the bath. I saved the game just before the choice screen, played the dialogue, saved right on the first screen when Jariel appears outside of the bathhouse and then clicked Load and started again from the choices. After having done this 2 or 3 times, the game crashed during loading:

Crashing meaning in this case that the game window exits and a notepad with the traceback opens. No biggie, I have saves. So I start the game, go back to the choices screen, play a couple of more conversation options and...boom crash. Same error. Crash happens anywhere between the 1st and 4th reload.

EDIT: I wasn't trying to break it, I swear! :P I was extra sure that I didn't touch the scroll while on any inventory screens prior the choices this time. :P

Hmm this is a Ren'Py bug :lol: I don't do anything strange in that part of code, just showing sprite images on screen. I'll see if I can reproduce it here too, and if always happens ask Ren'Py coder to investigate since I can't do much about it (maybe one of the recent updates solves the problem already, he worked on the engine more since I did this last version).

Adding to the problem of not being forced to meet Rowinda earlier:
--When the skeletons take you to her, the conversation still plays as if you *had* met her. => obvious plot hole
But that's child's play. Biggest problem hits ya at the end of the act....
--You'll get level one Rowinda joining your party. :shock: She has no skills and no attribute points nor skill points to set. She's truly at level 01. (Good thing I testing all this silly stuff at Normal-difficulty at the moment, lol)

Yes no worries, I now made a requirement to at least met her. Then you can even not finish the quest (killing ant queen) but this way there won't be any plot holes :)

Goodie, it'd be kind of scary to go into Shacklesplit with a level-5 Rowinda (woot, she leveled up after Yeldin died!). :lol: Maybe I'll just click 'yes' to that auto-level to 14-option...... Just kidding, this wasn't a NM-game, so it is not the file I'm planning to start playing act 3 once it's out. :P

Failing Pelts quest in Act 1, skipping the ants in Act 2 and not killing every merc in sight led to end of act-2 levels 4x 12, 1x13, 2x14, and 1x 5. I could still use the level 11 Fixed items during the last day of arena fighting and against Yeldin, so having that higher level option in the shops wasn't wasted.

It's good that you tested it this way since you discovered those bugs and also gave me an idea of which levels people could reach with their party if they're not crazy NM players :lol:

I wanted to test your random crash bug, when I noticed a new Ren'Py update was available. I updated and.... VOILA'!!!!! old savegames all broken again! :mrgreen:
At this point I'll stop completely doing updates until I coded ALL act3 (and maybe also act4). I don't know why, in the past it was really good at preserving the old saves, but since this last version, every small update breaks everything every time :cry:

This time was worse than before - I couldn't even use my own saves, giving error for stuff that used to always work without problems since 3 months! I had to revert back to previous build to be able to work on it.
It's always like that - I do a FUCKINGHUGE game, and a new version shows up right in the middle of development :lol:
Happened with Planet Stronghold and Loren already. Every time, was a super update that improved speed and introduced new stuff but also a lot of bugs and headaches :mrgreen:
