It's a really good thing to see Nook a bit more... mature looking. Although I always liked his hairstyle. The nose piercing on the other hand is a really nice addition. ;D

Thanks, I think is better too, though I had some people complain about the new look as well (tastes are tastes). Once again I had to do it to avoid potential future problems. To me old look was fine, but after the small ruckus that Dora's sprite in Loren caused on Steam... I prefer to avoid adding extra headache if I can

Actually to me the old look was fine, too. I never saw him very effeminate. More on the sleek, mysterious side - fitting for a shaman. And stubborn looking, too. xD
That's all too understandable. xDjack1974 wrote: To me old look was fine, but after the small ruckus that Dora's sprite in Loren caused on Steam... I prefer to avoid adding extra headache if I can

Re: colored male camp talk poses thread
While I was writing to the Reset your Life -forum I came upon a thought, which I have to bring forth. Even though it may make me a horrible person.
About Nooks appearance. Could it actually possible to change it midgame? I'll be honest, with my tastes it'll be a challenge to try and handle Nook with any other appearance than the first one. I have fallen for it too much. Thus, I thought that a feature to change his appearance could be a good compromise. Maybe with illusion magic or something. I know there's Draco, but he won't be in the same group, right? And competition is never a bad thing, right? Also, the character art and romance CG for that Nook were so beautiful, and judging from his expressions from the sketches you people have shown so far he doesn't seem like the kind of fellow who would mind going with what his partner preferres. Just like Subaru in Sakura Wars. Granted, I do not know anything about Nook as a character.

"Now, hold on a minute. I'm currently speculating."

Was it a conscious decision to make your masculine characters younger/more-feminine? Mesphit had pretty hair in the original Loren but he was also a muscular rebel brute and I liked him that way. Here he looks like a pretty teenage boy with a nice sense of humor.
I don't know why the artist is telling you women don't find Amukiki attractive. He totally is. And with you making Mesphit significantly leaner and prettier, I worry that masculine hotties are gonna disappear from you work and get replaced by Javiels and Nooks. I dont mind a couple gender-bendy options, but I don't think you should toss aside masculine designs to make the entire cast androgynous/pretty. Amukiki is fine as he was and perfectly hot, and I already miss old Mesphit.
One of my disappointments with Seasons of the Wolf was with the male designs -- the males came across as wimpy in both personality and appearance. And when you look at PSCD, the male romance options for Diana are a robot and Xavier -- a geeky buffoon that likes alien porn and falls on his ass while trying to impress you with a headstand. He's adorable comic relief but between him and the robot, I felt like Diana -- a strong female lead -- was robbed of an opportunity to have a steamy romance with a reasonably/equally strong male counterpart. I literally would have rather dated Mario.
Aaanyway! Enough ranting! Just don't forget there's a strong appeal with confident, tastefully assertive guys. As for as hetero options go, you haven't produced one for us ladies in a while.

No, it was drawn like that by the artist. It's hard for artist to always keep the same design in mind, and to be honest I asked this one to make a lot of art in the recent times It's just this camp talk image. In the CG scenes and even in the base sprite, he's the same as before.Katicflis wrote:Was it a conscious decision to make your masculine characters younger/more-feminine? Anyway thanks for the feedback, I am going to make other games in which hopefully there will be some strong males. I think might also be the kind of artist I use. For example Nicole/Remember Me artist uses this classic "pretty boy look" and probably it's how she draws them by default...

Oh I totally forgot. Roger Steel, while won't be out in a while, will DEFINITELY have that kind of male characters you describe, even more than one! I think you'll enjoy it
