ha! I could reproduce the Ice Shield thingy! Will send you a save: The Water Elemental is paralyzed for two turns and the order is Joanne, Elemental, rest of the party. Do whatever you want with Joanne's turn, after that the Elemental will use Ice Shield and the paralysis effect is gone.

btw, remember my lament of yesterday that advancing is more sluggish? Forget about it, this was caused by my skilling. I tried a slightly different build and had no attack skill causing damage over time at all.

I corrected this when reaching level 8 and everything's back to normal now ; )

The Fire Elemental with its Fire Shield can overwrite Paralyzis, too.

If you're interested I could give you a save game for the sparks/shield thingy.

It's a great playground for this: From left to right - Guard w/o shield, Guard w/ 3 turns shield, Mage w/ 2 turns shield. One hit with sparks should burn 2 shield rounds, but actually it seems to count hits of other targets, too.

One line of the combat log reads

"Joanne hit Retired Mage for 3 damage using Magic Sparks (Journeyman). Joanne reduced Elite Guard's Mirror Damage duration by 1. Duration is now 2.Joanne reduced Retired Mage's Mirror Damage duration by 1. Duration is now 1."

Two for the price of one : )

what's the delay of the restoration potion? it feels as if a zombified PC cannot act for about half the age of the universe

Thanks for the other save. All potions have a delay of 5, but I think it's their associated skill that influence the delay. So in this case it's 10. If I reduce it, also the enemies will benefit from that. I think since restoring a character from KO is a big thing the delay is justified.

So I tried your Water Elemental save in debug mode. The log said:

Code: Select all

-------------------Minor Water Elemental Turn-----------------
HP Regen: +0 (113) ,SP Regen: +0 (9)
Aggro: 0.00 --> 0.00
Stagger: 0.00 --> 0.00
Paralyzed duration is now: 1
-------------------Minor Water Elemental Turn-----------------
HP Regen: +0 (113) ,SP Regen: +0 (9)
Aggro: 0.00 --> 0.00
Stagger: 0.00 --> 0.00
Paralyzed duration is now: 0
Paralyzed removed
In practice it goes to 1, and then immediately to zero. I don't think the ice shield matters in this case, it's more because the paralyze wears off. Not sure exactly why though, I tried with the other non-boss enemies and they show paralyze 1 before going to zero. A mystery :o
