Vera Blanc and The Island Phantom

This is a full game, not a mod.

Version 7, Rated PG-13 (contains alcohol use, violence)

Change from previous version: Converted to HTML 5 format using techniques describe by kexter. This is now playable on Windows, MAC, and Linux systems using any web browser that suports HTML 5.

This is a stand alone game (not a mod), a 2D visual novel (short story). This is a fan-made game using characters from the Vera Blanc games by http://www.winterwoves.com Game characters are used with permission of winterwolves. (A tip of the hat and a big "Thank you" to Jack for giving permission to use the characters.)

In this game Vera Blanc and her detective partner Brandon Mackey investigate a ghost guarding a fortune in gold. This story takes place after the two commercially released Vera Blanc games, and before my fan-made game, Vera Blanc and the Carpathian Horror.

Vera Blanc is a rich, beautiful, and intelligent detective, with the unique ability to (sometimes) read people's minds. The in-game introduction explains how she obtained this ability.

My Vera Blanc fan made game is now available. Download link is in the first post. Playing time is about 30 minutes. I wrote the game in Novelty, a free visual novel program. Please don't upload the game to other sites.
The compressed file contains a readme file with information on system requirements and how to start the game.
The game takes place shortly after the "Ghost in the Castle" story.
I hope you enjoy it.

Updated the game to Version 2, and deleted the older version
I. I've improved the mind reading mini-game:
A) it more like the original (shows full alphabet to select from versus menu of 4 letters)
B) Made the outcome of the first mini game determine which of 2 endings the player sees
II. Added some more slides to the story.
III. Added some sounds
IV. altered some slides.

Anyway, I might start doing a webcomic about Vera Blanc soon to help promote the games and hopefully make new ones!

Someone finally posted a review at the lemma soft forums. The reviewer didn't care for the artwork (3D characters), but liked the story. In any and all cases I hope the fan made game increases sales of the winterwolves Vera Blanc games.
