Well this happened.

The logfile 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Planet Stronghold\Planet Stronghold.exe.log' could not be opened: [Errno 13] Permission denied: 'C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Planet Stronghold\\Planet sTronghold.exe.log'

After I deleted all the .py files.

I'll try asking on the renpy forums. Could you give me a link?

It's fine. Vista always gives me trouble and this is par for course.

Edit: And compatibility just makes the error screen take longer to reach I still can't play the game at all. (game crashes before it starts).

I have Vista 32-bit and here works. I suppose other people have vista 64-bit. I think must be something in your PC configuration, even if I don't know what

Hi all,

I dont know if this has been resolved or not but I thought I'd chime in. After hearing nothing but good news about this game (and some other games too) I purchased the game this afternoon. Unfortunatly I got the same problem as Raine009. Im not sure what to do. I try'd getting an anwser over at the Ren'py forums, but I dont even know where to start over there.

I checked the game directory for thoses .txt file but I only found a log.txt as before. It was difference to the one Raine009 posted.

The error above means you tried running it in DirectX but you don't have DirectX9 installed. In the game folder, there's a subfolder called "lib" with a dxwebsetup.exe. Run it, it's the microsoft DirectX installer, after you finish installing it you should be able to play. Alternatively you can try holding shift BEFORE starting the game, start it and keep it hold down and you should see a menu, try picking OpenGL.
